Abstract

This text intertwines the events of Thebes with those of Troy in relation to key feminine figures: Antigone, Helen, and Penelope. Antigone faces the tyrant, Helen is kidnapped, and Penelope awaits her husband under siege.

The male figures evoked by myth, tale, and tragedy in ancient Greece are connected to this feminine world, which fuels desire but is crushed, oppressed, and besieged by the masculine.

The essay concludes with a contemporary clinical series. A delirious Antigone manages to escape from her delirium by transforming it into creation.
