The article describes an individual psychotherapy process conducted according to the relational systemic approach. It is an account of the work carried out with Aurora, a young woman struggling with a painful past marked by abuse and family secrets with a crucial question: "Who am I?". The description of the case highlights the complexity of a healing work that, starting from the construction of a safe space and a trusting relationship, aims to re-tell a painful story, recover lost memories and forbidden emotions, build boundaries, to allow the patient to reconcile with herself, forgive herself and allow herself the possibility of being "the real Aurora".
