The search fot the ‘true Self”: belong to differentiate

This article describes an individual clinical process conducted according to the relational systemic approach. It resumes the work still in progress with Alessio, a young man who asks for a personal therapy because of his university issues. Only as the therapeutic path goes on his request can be reformulated, defining itself as attempt of differentation from his over involved family sistem: that seems to be expectations generator and source of identity based well defined.
The operation of accommodation implementated assumes the adaptation to patient language, used as gate way to provide the possibility to explore an expansion of his Self: the mathematic jargon, present in the report, is used as an open communication channel whict granted the opening of others initially closed channels.
