This article describes the process of co-therapy couple treatment, performed according to the relational systemic approach. The case study analysed in this article is highly illustrative because it shows: the cultural background which permeates the context in which the couple is totally merged, the involvement of the families they come from, the collusive interlock which made the two members of the couple “hook” one another upon specific features of both, and finally, the break of an implied and implicit marriage deal, shattered with the birth of the first child.
