Emotions and helping relationships. Psycho-relational supervision in work groups
Abstract
This article deals with the emotional aspects that come into play in the relationship between the helper and the helpee. We consider the link amid the emotion and the idea, and its pragmatic effects on the work of the team. The main concepts of the supervision are outlined together with the Reflecting Team. It introduces the concept of the Ecological Burnout (the burnout of whole system rather than of the single). The advantages and pitfalls of supervising teamwork are also highlighted.
