This paper describes the conceptual model and the procedures, within a systemic-relational orientation, that characterizes "Telemaco - Center for prevention, counseling and therapy for adolescents and families", a highly specialized structure of the ASP of Palermo addressed to adolescents, families and the network of inter-institutional services. The mission of the project includes a building up of a systemic thought of caring for the drug-addicted patients who could hardly find space in a public context. Actually, in this context the dynamics of the help request are often centered on the symptomatic emergency. It is evident that, in institutional work with drug-addicted patients, the multi-contextual complexity of the clinical problem requires, to be effective, the adoption of a complex and reflective thought.
By means of the narration of a clinical pathway, the paper suggests some considerations, in a systemic perspective, on the interventions that can be activated with adolescents. They are oriented towards the relational complexity of the emergency problem expressed by adolescents and their families, in order to overcome the linearity of diagnostic labels, frequent in public services.
