Abstract

Abstract (English version)

This article describes a clinical process conducted within the Integrated Program for pathological addictions and assistance to vulnerable populations of the DSM-DP of Bologna.

The intervention was carried out with the aim of addressing a couple drug’s addicted belonging to the service and made use of couple and individual sessions.

The initial demand is mainly linked to pharmacological support with substitution therapy and the tendency to carry out toxicophilic relational modalities for requests for additional drugs.

The choice of having weekly meetings with both couple and individuals has opened up the possibility of inscribing the theme of dependence and marginalization within the family histories of each, giving them a new framework of meaning and fostering a relational connection with the service.

The work has produced the reduction of toxicophilic modalities, the research for meaning both in the couple relationship and in relation with the therapist, not subordinated to the acquisition and assumption of a substance, and the "creation" of a psychic space preparatory to the re-elaboration of the concept of both relationship and individuality in being in the world.
