Il presente lavoro descrive le implicazioni terapeutiche di un approccio strutturale, così come teorizzato da Minuchin (1976) applicato, in quanto specifica lettura del più ampio orientamento sistemico-relazione, al caso di un’adolescente autolesionista. Filo rosso dell’intero processo è stato il lavoro di definizione del confine, inteso come regola che presiede al passaggio dell’informazione. Il percorso di psicoterapia individuale, avviato con la paziente, ha infatti permesso di ridefinire i confini tra i sottosistemi e riposizionare adeguatamente ogni componente nel ruolo e nella funzione che dovrebbe rivestire all’interno del sistema familiare.
