Starting with a theoretical excursus on LGBT+ issues and discrimination against sexual minorities, this article seeks to provoke thought on the possibility that specific and professional training on these issues can serve as a fundamental tool for professionals assisting relationships in the process of understanding and thus intervention.
Indeed, professional care communities, which are typically devoted to hospitality, are among the first to detect socio-cultural transformations and their consequences. It is clear how much these social changes call into question professionals' specific listening and welcoming skills, necessitating a prompt and competent response.
